In Spain it is calculated that approximately in the year 2025, those over 65 years of age will account for 25% of the total population. It should be noted that as we age the physiological deterioration of all the structures and also the organic functions increases a lot; since they favor the growth of health problems. Vision is a factor within these impairments.

80% of the information that human beings receive during life is through vision and in older people, together with hearing, taking care of adequate visual function is crucial for the well-being of each one. However, nobody usually gives it the importance and perseverance that it really has. Likewise, it should be remembered that having good visual health is essential for older people to maintain their care in the best possible way to have the minimum possible problems.

Aging is inevitable. It is recommended that older people have their vision checked at least once a year, as this can prevent vision problems.
